George N. Eischens, O.D.
Dr. Eischens is a second career optometrist who graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Optometry, June 2001. While attending UAB, he participated in an internship in rural optometry and integrated medical care at the Health Center in Eutaw, AL.
Awards received at optometry school included:
-College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Vision Therapy Award
-ALCON award for Excellence in Contact Lens Application
-Optometry School Dean's Award for Leadership
Dr. Eischens has lived in the Prattville area since 1987 and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force.
He has a Master of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from Troy University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science from St. John's University in Minnesota.
